Traveling exhibition from The National Art Center, Tokyo
Anno Hideaki's latest film, "Shin Evangelion the Movie," for which he served as general director, has grossed over 10 billion yen at the box office and continues to set records. This exhibition covers his past works that he participated in when he was an animator, as well as his latest work as a director and producer, and delves into the secrets of his creative activities. In addition to precious original drawings and miniatures from his "anime" and "tokusatsu" works, which were his starting point, the exhibition includes a vast amount of handwritten notes and illustrations from his amateur days to the present, as well as a wide variety of production materials from scripts, settings, image sketches, storyboards, layouts, original drawings to miniature sets, which are indispensable to the creation of his unique images. This is the first exhibition in the world to exhibit all the materials.
