Takeda City Museum of History and Culture, Yugakukan

The former Takeda City History Museum opened in October 2020 as an exchange center where visitors can experience history and culture.

The building, inspired by the Nagayamon gate, was designed by world-renowned architect Kengo Kuma, and displays a diorama of Oka Castle and works by Tanomura Takeda, a literary artist associated with Takeda City.

The museum is located in the heart of the city and is a great place to learn about the history of Oka Castle and the castle town of Takeda before exploring the city.
