Kaze no Oka Funeral Home
Kaze no Oka Funeral Home in Nakatsu City was designed by architect Fumihiko Maki, and is said to be the "culmination of modernism" with its fusion of architecture and landscape. The wide openings overlook a lush garden, and the unusual wood-grained RC walls are bathed in soft sunlight. The building has won numerous architectural awards.
