Art×Night" Night Art Museum
Yuki Anai "Empathy"
The light art "Empathy" is created by Yuki Anai, an artist from Oita City. It is a hands-on installation work using a sphere that responds with light and sound when you apply force to it. ”The power you feel when you touch it”
This is an exhibition where visitors can enjoy themselves while actually touching the sphere of light that symbolizes

Meets & Times; Artists"

The exhibition invites young artists who are currently active in the field to hold solo exhibitions.
ART! The painter Naoto Kitamura, based in Oita City, is known for his colorful and dynamic works. In this exhibition, he will present a new work based on the theme of Nakatsu Castle and its stone walls. The dynamic and colorful world can be enjoyed.

Artist Profile
. ◇ Yuki Anai: Born in 1987 in Oita Prefecture. Completed the Graduate School of Media Design at Keio University. In 2016, he moved to Kyushu to work for TeamLab Inc. He has been involved in a number of spatial productions, including the comprehensive supervision of the Oita Station Illumination "Oita Fantasy of Light", which has the largest square in front of the station in Kyushu, and is currently working on a wide range of projects both in Japan and overseas.

Naoto Kitamura was born in 1979. A painter from Fukuoka Prefecture. Lives and works in Oita City. After graduating from university, he began selling his paintings on the street. 2005 saw him win several prizes at art exhibitions in Oita. He is currently involved in a number of exhibitions in Oita, Kanto, Kansai and Kyushu, as well as collaborations with companies, workshops and live painting.

◇ Shita: Born in 1987. A poet and artist from Fukuoka Prefecture, he began writing words on postcards in 2007 after using a brush pen for the first time at a part-time job at an izakaya (Japanese pub) while attending a childcare college. In 2014, she resigned from her job as a nursery school teacher to concentrate on her art. Currently, she holds solo exhibitions and live painting events in various places.

As the name suggests, there are three major events in this year's "Nakatsu ART! We have planned this event with the hope that through these three events you will be able to meet and connect with a variety of artists and artworks, learn about and enjoy new and old things, and discover what you like.

We would like to continue to hold exhibitions like this once every few years so that the people of Nakatsu can enjoy a lot of art through these big events.

REVIEW

Lovely to see the museum at night, something you don't always get to see! Soothing!

I love to write pictures, and this is my first experience of a solo exhibition. I was very impressed.

It was very nice to see the movie while listening to the explanation, I felt like I was discovering something new.
